Where learning meets play!

About Flower Child Development LLC

Who We Are

Flower Child Development LLC first holistic school was opened in November 2018, by Stephanie Hearon. Our goals here are to teach independence at developmentally appropriate times, learn, manage and explore big emotions and teach each kid a value for themselves and their own uniqueness and individualism as well as getting along with their peers, as well as provide flexible, reliable and affordable care. We believe whole-heartedly that young minds learn best through play, that children are fully capable of more than what adults ask or assume of them and that following the child and being on their level are the values to early childhood education and we do our best to nourish all the children we come in contact with emotionally and educationally.

Montessori Inspired Curriculum

We have the year of playing skillfully from the Homegrown Preschooler focusing on ages 3-7 a curriculum that we work, we follow the child and we learn through play. We also have a nature school curriculum and outdoor classroom.
We also have nature school where we spend a lot of time outside learning about nature and gardening, including the cycle of life.
We teach all aspects of practical life as well as learning about and managing our emotions big and little through Generation Mindful's: Time-In-Tool Kit. We offer meditation and yoga opportunities daily.
We will always encourage individuality and uniqueness as well as independence to prepare your kids for real life.

Flower Child Development is a part of the WAP Food Program. We serve breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. All of our meals are Organic and homemade, and occasionally vegetarian. Our goal is to serve meals to nourish the body and brain as well as a mini curriculum in table manners. We serve family style meals at least once a day.

*Dinner is served on date nights.

**If your child only attends from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm they will only be served lunch.

Preschool curriculum

We have Mother Goose Time early learning curriculum for ages 2-3 providing literacy tools, math tools, music and movement, science tools, art supplies and social tools with monthly themes to keep children engaged and empowered in their learning journeys.

We remain Montessori Inspired from the beginning with daily activities, developmentally appropriate independence, child led learning through play and daily practical life skills practice.

Small ratios provide customized individual care, in a home like setting with nurturing teachers fostering emotional bonds and developmental growth.

"Stephanie has a heart for helping children grow and learn. My son was with her until he started school and he still loves to see her! You want to leave your kids with someone you can trust and Stephaine is that person!"

Allyson Kubat October 24, 2018

"My children and I love Miss Stephanie! She treated my children like they were her own. She invests in them and makes sure their creative minds are allowed to grow. I still have all the projects my children did with her. She’s become a part of our family, even though we’ve moved to another state. We were so blessed to have Miss Stephanie as our teacher."
